プロフィール

1958年イギリス／イーストボーンに生まれる。1980年、オックスフォード大学マンスフィールドカレッジで近代史を学び、1998年にロンドン大学ゴールドスミスカレッジで芸術学修士を取得後、ロンドンを拠点に活動。本の表紙またはタイトル・ページをキャンバスに描く「ブック・ペインティング」など、言葉とイメージの関係を主題にした絵画作品を制作。
『Writing on the Wall - Word and Image in Modern Art』／Thames and Hudson／ 2003　など著作も手がける。
